The Trade Union Bill - an attack on working people

Richard_Burgon_TU_Bill_3rd_Reading1.pngI intervened in the debate in Parliament on the Conservative Government's Trade Union Bill this afternoon to raise a fundamental question: what kind of society are we moving towards where - if this law is passed - the result of a strike ballot could be 79% in favour of strike action on a 50% postal ballot turnout but if the strike were to go ahead it would be illegal?

I will be voting against the Bill today.

I have also published this short video to explain why I will be voting against the Bill today.
